Dubai Fragrance Simulator: Find the Perfume That's Right for You
This Dubai Fragrance Simulator answers the question on everyone’s mind when they’re discovering oriental perfumes online: How do you choose without being able to smell them? Through five questions (for whom, what olfactory world, what notes, what sillage, what season), it compares your answers to the top, heart and base notes With over 1,400 Dubai fragrances in stock at Parfumerie de Dubaï, the site suggests three blends ranked by similarity, followed by six more if you’d like to expand your selection. No registration required, no sponsored results: the ranking is based solely on the fragrance profiles and your personal preferences. Already wearing a fragrance you love? Enter its notes in the third question, and the simulator will search our catalog for fragrances that most closely match it.

Selection based on the top, middle, and base notes of each fragrance in the catalog.
How does the Dubai Fragrance Simulator
Each fragrance in our catalog has a detailed description page that includes its olfactory pyramid : top notes (the first impression), middle notes (the character of the fragrance once it settles), and base notes (what lingers on the skin hours later). The Dubai perfume simulator uses these three layers to categorize each fragrance into nine families: woody and oud, amber, gourmand, fresh, floral, spicy, fruity, leather and tobacco, and musky. Base notes carry more weight than top notes in this calculation, because they are what define a fragrance’s longevity and the lasting impression it leaves.
Your answers are then compared against this profile: the selected fragrance family carries the most weight; the ratings you’ve checked or entered add points for each match; and the sillage and season help refine the ranking. The calculation is performed entirely in your browser. Your answers are neither linked to your account nor stored by the store; only anonymous usage statistics (such as the most popular universes) help us improve the tool. When the results are displayed, The availability and price of each fragrance offered are checked in real time At the store: A perfume that is out of stock will not appear in your search results.
Five questions, five landmarks to answer properly
Each question in the simulator corresponds to a criterion that our advisors use in-store. Here's how to interpret them to give the most accurate answer.
Who is it for?
Emirati perfume houses create many unisex fragrances that can be worn by both women and men. No matter which one you choose, the Dubai Unisex Fragrances remain in the selection, in addition to the women's and men's lineups that match your answer.
The World of Fragrances
That is the most crucial question. The simulator’s nine universes draw on—while adapting them to oriental perfumery—the major families that the French Society of Perfumers formalized in 1984 to classify fragrances according to their dominant note (source: Olfastory, Fragrance Families in Perfumery). To explore each family and its notes, visit our page dedicated to Fragrance Families of Dubai Perfumes.
The notes you like
Thirty-six notes are available, ranging from vanilla to saffron, including oud, rose, and coffee. You can select up to four. The text box below also accepts a list of notes copied from the packaging or the description of a fragrance you’re familiar with, in French or English: the simulator will recognize them there nearly ninety ingredients and immediately reports the ones he has identified.
The Trail
The sillage is the trail a fragrance leaves around you. The simulator estimates it for each fragrance based on two factors: the concentration (a perfume extract is more intense than an eau de parfum) and the nature of the base notes, as accords of oud, amber, leather, or vanilla diffuse more widely than citrus or light musks. «Subtle» refers to compositions that stay close to the skin, while «powerful» refers to fragrances that make an impression as soon as you walk into a room.
The season
Citrus, mint, and marine notes come to life in the heat; resins, oud, and sweet notes reveal themselves fully in the cold. Reply «all year round» gives a slight edge to balanced formulas that can be worn from morning to night in any season.

Rediscovering the essence of a fragrance that you're already wearing
Many people walk into an oriental perfume shop with a specific fragrance in mind and look for a scent that will evoke the same emotion. We never compare our fragrances to those of other brands : Every Emirati creation has its own identity, and a fragrance pyramid cannot be copied. On the other hand, fragrance notes are a universal language. If you love a fragrance for its bergamot-ambroxan accord or its smoky vanilla, those are the notes you should look for—and that’s exactly what the text field in the third question of the Dubai fragrance simulator does: When you enter the list of notes, the tool shows you the fragrances that share the most in common with it, marking results whose fragrance pyramid closely matches yours with a «Similar to your fragrance» badge. Fragrance pyramids are usually listed on the packaging or on the fragrance’s official product sheet.
Read Carefully your correspondence
Each results card includes the name and brand of the fragrance, its current price, descriptions explaining why it’s recommended to you (theme, shared notes, sillage), its complete fragrance pyramid, and two buttons: «View details» or «Add to cart.» If you’re not satisfied with the initial selection, the “Adjust my answers” button takes you back to the last question without having to start over, and “See six more suggestions” expands the list.
Here's some advice from an oriental perfumer on how to choose between two options: Take a look at the footnotes. Two fragrances with similar top notes can develop very differently—one into a dry oud, the other into a creamy vanilla. It’s the base note that you’ll wear the longest. And to try them out with no obligation, our new fragrances from Dubai are added each week to the catalog analyzed by the simulator.
Dubai Fragrance Simulator: your questions
Is the Dubai perfume simulator free?
Yes, absolutely. It doesn't require registration or an email address, and you can take the quiz as many times as you like by changing your answers. The results are calculated based on the composition of the fragrances, with no paid promotions.
How do I choose my fragrance profile if I'm not sure?
Choose two: the simulator allows this, and it weights the results based on each category’s share in the fragrance pyramid. For example, if you’re torn between gourmand and amber notes—a very common dilemma in Oriental perfumery—the result will be resinous vanilla notes that satisfy both preferences. If you have no idea where to start, begin with what you like to smell in your everyday life: the cinnamon in a dessert, the wood of an antique piece of furniture, or freshly squeezed citrus.
I don't know the notes in my current perfume. What should I do?
First, take a look at the packaging—which often features the fragrance pyramid—or the product sheet from the brand that makes it. If neither is available, skip this step and simply check the notes that appeal to you from the list provided; the fragrance profile and sillage are already enough to help you narrow down your selection.
Why does a perfume that appeared yesterday no longer show up in my search results?
Because availability is checked in real time. A fragrance that is out of stock is removed from the selection as soon as it is displayed and replaced by the next item in the ranking. Fragrances are restored to the selection as soon as they are restocked, without any action on our part.
What is the difference between a strong scent and long-lasting fragrance?
Sillage refers to the way a fragrance spreads around you, while longevity refers to how long it lasts on your skin. The two often go hand in hand in oriental perfumery, but not always: a musk can last a very long time while remaining subtle, while a citrus scent can be vibrant when sprayed and then fade quickly. The simulator focuses on sillage; for longevity, refer to the concentration listed on each product page, whether it’s eau de parfum or extract.
Which Dubai perfume should you choose as a gift?
Answer the simulator on the person’s behalf, based on what you know about them: the perfume they wear, their favorite scents, and the way they carry themselves. If in doubt, opt for a balanced scent trail and the «all-year-round» option, then compare the three results with our best-selling perfumes in Dubai, which feature the tried-and-true favorites that customers love.
Are the perfumes offered authentic?
All the fragrances in the simulator come from our catalog; they are imported directly from Emirati brands and delivered in their original, sealed packaging. Our guide to recognizing a true perfume of Dubai describes the quality control checks we perform on each product.

Launch the simulatorThis Dubai perfume simulator and its guide were designed by the team at Parfumerie de Dubaï, an online Middle Eastern perfume shop that has specialized in Emirati brands for over ten years. The ranking is based exclusively on the fragrance pyramids published on our product pages, which are themselves compiled from information provided by the brands. The simulator’s nine fragrance worlds are inspired by the fragrance family classification of the Société Française des Parfumeurs, adapted to the conventions of oriental perfumery.
