Azul
Aromatic aquatic eau de parfum for men · lemon, bergamot, grapefruit blossom, calone, and sandalwood
Launched in June 2026 to dominate the season: a photorealistic lemon, an ethereal grapefruit blossom, and a marine breeze of calone. The elegance of summer.
A summer morning in a bottle: photorealistic citrus notes and a sea breeze
"Azul" means "blue" in Spanish, and that's exactly the color of the perfume: the color of a cloudless June sky. Launched in June 2026 As part of Rayhaan's Aqua Collection, it opens with a duo lemon–bergamot with a realism praised by enthusiasts: a fresh, lively, and natural zest, without the slightest hint of synthetic harshness. It’s the kind of opening that makes you feel like stepping outside on a clear, crisp, and invigorating morning.
The heart opts for simplicity, the hallmark of great freshness: a grapefruit blossom A rare and delicate note, halfway between citrus and white flowers, that extends the brightness of the opening while softening it with a distinct floral veil. It is this note that gives Azul its elegance: the fragrance remains fresh, but it is a refined freshness, almost like a luxury cologne.
The base note finally anchors the fragrance in its aquatic profile: the calone, the famous marine molecule, wafts its salty breeze with hints of fresh melon, while the sandalwood leaves a creamy, soft base that prevents the fragrance from evaporating into plain cool water. The result is a clean, crisp, and magnetic sillage that lingers close: the scent of a well-groomed man who smells great without ever being overpowering, from the air-conditioned office to the terrace in the evening.
Azul joins his brother in Rayhaan's Aqua Collection Pacific Aloha, the most exuberant tropical scent in the collection: Aloha for the beach and cocktails, Azul for the city and sunny mornings—two ways to embrace summer.

Bottle design
The Azul bottle is probably one of the most spectacular in Dubai's current perfume scene: a cube of turquoise-blue glass deep, completely trapped within a white mashrabiya lattice with intertwined geometric stars, like a window in an Andalusian palace opening onto the sea. The name RAYHAAN is engraved in relief on the white lace.
Visit sculpted white hood, adorned with a matching geometric rosette, completes this miniature architectural masterpiece. The blue-and-white contrast says it all about the fragrance—the Mediterranean seen through a trellis—and makes Azul one of the most photogenic bottles on a shelf: you buy a perfume; you display a work of art.

Performance & sensations
Azul carries on its family tradition: it’s a fragrance that’s all about freshness, not showiness. Expect about 6 hours of attendance including two to three hours of clear projection, during which the grapefruit zest and blossom shine through, before the calone-sandalwood duo settles into a subtle layer that lies close to the skin and shirt collars. A typical characteristic of light, airy citrus scents: you can't smell it on yourself anymore, but others can when they're close by.
To get the most out of it: spray generously—four to five sprays, including one or two on clothing where the scent lingers—and keep the bottle within reach for an afternoon touch-up, a natural gesture with a fresh scent from this family. Spring and summer are its natural habitat, including air-conditioned offices where its understated nature is a virtue; it’s the ideal companion for hot days when heavy fragrances become unbearable.
Azul de Rayhaan FAQ
What does Rayhaan's Azul perfume smell like?
Azul smells like a summer morning: a remarkably natural lemon-bergamot opening, praised by connoisseurs for its realistic scent of freshly squeezed zest, which glides into an airy grapefruit blossom—somewhere between citrus and white flowers—followed by a clean marine base of calone softened with sandalwood. The overall impression: fresh, crisp, elegant, and easy to wear—the 2026 version of a luxury cologne.
Which famous perfume is similar to Azul by Rayhaan?
The fragrance community overwhelmingly compares it to a famous cologne from a major Parisian house—the gold standard for the lemon-grapefruit blossom combination—which is now hard to find and has become very expensive. Reviews describe it as a faithful interpretation of 90%, at a fraction of the price: if you’ve been searching for that legendary freshness without having to sell a kidney, Azul is the answer.
How long does Rayhaan's Azul last on the skin?
Like all great airy citrus fragrances, Azul prioritizes clarity over intensity: expect two to three hours of distinct sillage, followed by a clean, subtle veil close to the skin, for a total of about 6 hours of wear. The right approach: spray generously, give it an extra spritz on your shirt where it clings best, and don’t hesitate to reapply in the afternoon—that’s the secret to enjoying all the fresh scents in this family.
What is a "calone" in Rayhaan's *Azul*?
Calone is THE marine molecule in perfumery: it’s what recreates the scent of a salty breeze and sea air, with a fresh note of melon and watermelon. A star of major aquatic fragrances since the 1990s, it gives Azul its oceanic breath in the base note—where most perfumes use it in the top note: the sea emerges as the citrus notes fade.
Is Azul de Rayhaan the right fragrance for summer 2026?
It was designed exactly for that purpose: launched in June 2026, Azul is Rayhaan’s summer fragrance, tailored for the sweltering heat when oriental scents become impossible to wear. Citrus freshness, airy florals, a sea breeze, and a clean sillage that never overwhelms a terrace: it’s the obvious choice for your summer wardrobe, from the air-conditioned office to balmy evenings.
