Dubai Delicacy Red Velvet
Fruity floral gourmand eau de parfum for men and women · lemon oil, strawberry, whipped sugar, Sugarberry Slice, frangipani, vanilla pod, amber and musk
A lemon zest to open, a pastry heart softened by a white flower, then a base of vanilla and amber: the gourmand idea without the wood.
Armaf's Dubai Delicacy Red Velvet: lemon and strawberry at the top, then vanilla, amber and musk in the base
Created by Armaf, Dubai Delicacy Red Velvet is a unisex eau de parfum from the Delights collection, offered as a 70 ml spray, that is 2.37 fl.oz, at 80% vol. and listed under barcode 6295199815038. Its pyramid counts eight notes: lemon oil and strawberry at the top, whipped sugar, Sugarberry Slice and frangipani at the heart, vanilla pod, amber and musk in the base. The box states an Emirati origin, a period after opening of 36 months, and carries an INCI list made up exclusively of allergens that must be declared. The reference belongs to a collection of three perfumes, alongside Cotton Candy and Kunafa Chocolate. The perfumer is not disclosed and no community rating accompanies this fragrance yet. Available as a genuine product at Parfumerie de Dubai.
A pastry opened by a zest
The name refers to the American cake, but the composition does not try to reproduce it: neither cocoa, cream nor biscuit appears in the pyramid. What Armaf states is a gourmand fruity opened by a citrus. Thelemon oil gives a clear, slightly bitter zest, the burr the pulp and the sugar. Only two top notes, which is few, and it means the perfume does not linger: the heart arrives quickly.
This heart is where the perfume's identity is decided, and its vocabulary must be read with care. The whipped sugar and the Sugarberry Slice are not raw materials: they are names created by the brand to describe a pastry impression. We use them because they are the official terms, but we spell out what they are, and we come back to it in the FAQ. Between the two, the frangipani is, by contrast, a real flower, white and solar, slightly milky, which keeps the heart from being nothing but a sweet accord.
The base is deliberately classic and free of wood: vanilla bean, amber and musk. Three materials that all pull towards softness and warmth, with no dry or earthy counterweight at all. That is an important structural difference from the other gourmands: here nothing works against the sugar, which gives a perfume that is soft throughout rather than contrasted.
That is precisely what sets it apart from Dubai Delicacy Cotton Candy, the collection's other reference, which sets against the sugar a bitter cocoa at the top and a cedarwood in the base. In a neighbouring register, Odyssey Marshmallow also explores the gourmand register. The full catalogue can be found on the page Armaf, and this reference appears among our unisex perfumes, our vanilla perfumes and our amber fragrances.

The Three Stages of Composition
This three-stage reading comes from the pyramid published by the brand, not from a ranking by wearers. Unlike other references in the collection, Red Velvet has no community page recording accord votes: we therefore describe what the composition states, without claiming to know what wearers perceive first.
Olfactory pyramid
Eight notes split into two at the top, three at the heart and three at the base. Two of these eight entries, whipped sugar and Sugarberry Slice, are brand names and not identifiable materials: we display them as the house publishes them, without assigning them a technical definition.
What the INCI list makes it possible to verify
One particularity deserves to be flagged straight away: after the alcohol, the fragrance block and the water, the Red Velvet list contains no named raw material at all. The thirteen substances that follow are all allergens that must be declared in the European Union. They therefore do not describe the formula, but they sketch a profile, and that is already informative.
A word of caution to close: the absence of vanillin from this list does not mean there is none. Vanillin is not among the allergens that must be declared, so it has no reason to appear. An INCI list says what it must say, not what the bottle contains.

Bottle and Packaging Design
The whole Delights collection shares the same idea: a bottle shaped like a bar of chocolate, whose front is divided into twelve raised blocks stamped with the Armaf name. Red Velvet renders it in a transparent glittered red, crossed by pale diagonal ribbons that recall the cake's icing. The base stays clear and carries the words Red Velvet in gold lettering.
L'case, vertical, takes up the same red stripes and leaves a cream panel bearing Dubai Delicacy, then the wording Red Velvet. It is the same choice as for the line's other references: the colour and the pattern change, the silhouette stays, which makes the collection instantly recognisable on the shelf.
How to Wear It
Armaf Dubai Delicacy Red Velvet FAQ
What does Sugarberry Slice mean in the pyramid?
It is a name created by Armaf, not a perfumery raw material. No supplier sells an ingredient under that name, and it corresponds to no plant. It is a mood formulation, describing an impression of sweet red fruit rather than an identifiable component. Whipped sugar follows the same logic. We display them because they are the brand's official terms, but we prefer to say what they are.
Does Red Velvet smell of the cake it is named after?
Not literally. Red velvet cake is built on cocoa, buttermilk and a cream cheese frosting. Yet Armaf's pyramid contains no cocoa, no milky note and no biscuit accord. It states a lemon, a strawberry, a sweet accord, a white flower and a vanilla amber base. The name therefore points to a colour and an idea of indulgence rather than to a recipe.
Are olfactory notes the ingredients?
No, and this reference illustrates it well. Notes describe a perceived smell, in commercial vocabulary that can even be invented, like Sugarberry Slice. The INCI list, by contrast, is regulatory: it declares the alcohol carrier, the fragrance block under the word fragrance, and the substances European law requires to be named. The two lists answer different logics.
Why does the INCI list name no raw material?
Because European regulation does not require them to be named. A perfume may declare its entire scented composition under the single word fragrance, and separately list only the substances recognised as allergens. That is the case here: after the alcohol, the fragrance and the water, the thirteen following entries are all allergens that must be declared. Some houses choose to go further and name essential oils; that is not the case with this reference.
What is frangipani?
It is a tropical flower, the one strung into garlands in the Pacific. Its smell is white and solar, with a slightly milky roundness and a hint of almond. It is the only true floral material named in the pyramid, and it plays a precise role: keeping the heart from being nothing but a sugar accord.
What is the difference with Dubai Delicacy Cotton Candy?
Same collection, two opposite readings of the gourmand idea. Cotton Candy sets against the sugar a bitter cocoa at the top and a cedarwood in the base, with a heart of jasmine and rose: a contrasted perfume, which wearers first perceive as a rose. Red Velvet places no wood and no bitterness: lemon, strawberry, sweet accord, frangipani, then vanilla, amber and musk. The first darkens, the second stays soft throughout.
What is the barcode of Red Velvet in 70 ml?
The EAN code recorded on the packaging of the batch received is 6295199815038. Checking is useful with this collection: the three references share the same bottle shape and very similar codes, only the last group of digits tells them apart.
