Riwayah Azuro
Unisex fruity, aromatic, gourmand perfume extract · raspberry, orange essential oil, bergamot, jasmine, lavender, caramel, patchouli, and sandalwood
The "Azur" fragrance from the Riwayah collection: tangy raspberry and zesty citrus that melt into a lavender-caramel heart, resting on deep woody notes.
A rich, aromatic fruitiness—playful on the palate, with depth and character
Fariis’s *Riwayah Azuro* opens like a summer sky: the raspberry crisp, tangy, and juicy, immediately followed by the’orange essential oil and the bergamot which add their zesty sparkle. This fruity-citrus opening is the most cheerful in the entire Riwayah collection: bright, energetic, instantly appealing, and without a hint of heaviness.
The heart then makes a bold and very timely connection: the lavender aromatic, inspired by the grand fougère notes of classic perfumery, meets a caramel melt-in-your-mouth, all illuminated by jasmine. It’s the combination of barber shop and pastry shop that makes today’s most addictive fragrances so successful: aromatic cleanliness on one hand, enveloping indulgence on the other. Azuro strikes this balance with great precision, without ever veering into dessert territory.
The background finally brings back a sense of gravity: the patchouli delves into its earthy, slightly chypre notes, while the sandalwood rounds out the finish with an elegant, woody creaminess. And since this is a perfume extract, the highest concentration in perfumery, this final duo unfolds with remarkable tenacity: the caramelized raspberry of the opening gives way, for hours on end, to a soft, woody trail that marks the transition.
In the Riwayah collection—whose name means «story» in Arabic—Azuro embodies lightness and the blue sky: more playful than Riwayah Amalfi, the citrusy marine scent in the line, and fresher than Riwayah Harrison, its opulent counterpart made with black grapes and saffron.

Bottle design
Riwayah Azuro takes the collection’s identity to the next level with a monochromatic design: the entire bottle, from the body to the cap, is adorned with a deep azure blue with a matte, clean, and graphic finish. It features the line’s signature design: a rectangular body with vertical grooves and the dome-shaped cover reminiscent of Eastern domes, here entirely engraved with tone-on-tone arabesques, like a bas-relief.
In the center, a white circular medallion Surrounded by engraved scrollwork, it bears the fragrance’s name in Arabic calligraphy and Latin letters—the sole contrast against this deep blue background. The effect is striking: where Amalfi evoked the turquoise transparency of the sea, Azuro embodies the depth of a Gulf sky in the height of summer. A bold, modern, and instantly recognizable object.

Performance & sensations
Thanks to its concentration perfume extract, Riwayah Azuro gives the typically volatile fruity-citrus profile a longevity that other eaux de parfum of this type simply cannot match. Raspberry and citrus notes sparkle during the first hour—the most vibrant—then the lavender-caramel heart settles in for a long time, before patchouli and sandalwood extend the trail close to the skin until the end of the day. On clothing, the woody caramel accord lingers significantly longer still.
This is the most versatile of the Riwayah fragrances: fresh enough for daytime and mid-season wear, yet warm enough for cool evenings. Two to three sprays are enough for a balanced scent; in the height of summer, use a lighter dose to let the raspberry and citrus notes take center stage without the caramel overpowering them.
Fariis' Riwayah Azuro FAQ
Is Fariis's Riwayah Azuro very sweet because of the caramel?
No: in Riwayah Azuro, caramel serves as a binding element, not a dominant note. It is framed by aromatic lavender and jasmine in the heart, then by patchouli and sandalwood in the base, which give the fragrance a sophisticated rather than a sweet, pastry-like character. You can sense the indulgent quality, but you never smell the syrup.
Does the lavender make Riwayah Azuro seem rather masculine?
Not here. Lavender has traditionally been associated with masculine fougère fragrances, but in Riwayah Azuro it is softened by caramel, raspberry, and jasmine, making it perfectly unisex—in the spirit of modern gourmand lavender fragrances that appeal to both women and men. It’s a fragrance truly meant to be shared.
What is the difference between Riwayah Azuro and Riwayah Amalfi, the two blue models from Fariis?
Their bottles look alike, but their scents do not. Amalfi is a citrusy aquatic fragrance that dives into a smoky bakhoor base: it’s the sea and the Orient. Riwayah Azuro is a sweet, aromatic, fruity fragrance—more playful and softer—with notes of raspberry and a lavender-caramel duo: it’s the blue sky and lightness. Amalfi for its sophisticated marine freshness, Azuro for its addictive fruity energy.
What is the best season to wear Riwayah Azuro?
Riwayah Azuro is the most versatile fragrance in the collection: it’s particularly well-suited for spring and fall, when its raspberry notes sparkle in the cool air and its caramel notes provide warmth without being overpowering. It remains very pleasant in summer when worn sparingly, and comforting in winter.
