Riwayah Lunara
Unisex aromatic amber perfume extract · aromatic accords, warm spicy and resinous notes, amber, and woody notes
The "Nocturne" chapter of the Riwayah collection: an aromatic freshness that ignites with spices and resins, before settling into a deep, woody amber.
An aromatic amber fragrance that evokes the desert night
In Fariis’s Riwayah collection—whose name means «story» in Arabic—each fragrance evokes a landscape. Lunara, as its name suggests, evokes the night. The opening notes unfold aromatic combinations Fresh and herbaceous—that sensation of crushed plants in the evening air, as the day’s heat subsides. A crisp and elegant opening, more understated than showy, that immediately sets the mood.
Then the composition gradually bursts into flames: the middle section unfolds with warm, spicy, and resinous notes, like a fire being stoked at dusk. The spices provide the crackling, while the resins offer a balsamic, almost incense-like quality that gives the fragrance its oriental character. This is the moment when Lunara reveals its true nature: beneath the aromatic freshness of the opening lay a scent of smoldering embers.
The ending brings the story to a amber enveloping and wood notes profound: a warm and magnetic aftertaste that lingers all the longer because it is a perfume extract, the highest concentration in perfumery. On the skin, the effect evokes a woolen shawl infused with soft smoke and amber: sophisticated, unisex, with that calm presence of fragrances that don’t need to shout to make an impression.
Lunara is the nocturnal counterpart of Riwayah Amalfi, the sunny, citrusy aquatic fragrance from the same collection: the day and night of the same story. Its amber-brown hue naturally places it in our selection of Dubai perfumes in brown bottles, these warm fragrances whose color hints at their character.

Bottle design
Riwayah Lunara features the signature design of Fariis’s Riwayah collection: a rectangular body with vertical grooves, decorated with a circular medallion bearing the name of the fragrance in Arabic calligraphy and Latin letters, topped with a dome-shaped hood with scrollwork which is reminiscent of Eastern domes.
Here, the dress is adorned with shades of amber brown, warm and deep like the fragrance it contains: where Amalfi showcased the turquoise of the Mediterranean, Lunara opts for the colors of the night and wood. A striking bottle, instantly recognizable within the collection, that sets the tone even before the first spray.

Performance & sensations
The format perfume extract gives Riwayah Lunara a foundation that classic amber fragrances can only envy: the initial aromatic phase is relatively brief, then the spicy, resinous heart settles in for hours on end before melting into the final woody amber, which lingers close to the skin until the next day. Like all fragrances rich in resins and amber, it leaves a lasting scent on clothing, particularly wool and knitwear.
It’s the quintessential fragrance for the cold season and for evenings: the cold tempers its warmth and makes it magnetic, whereas the heat of summer would make it overpowering. Given its concentration, two sprays are enough to last an entire evening; during the day, a light application at the base of the neck makes it perfectly wearable for those who love warm, subtly present scents.
Fariis' Riwayah Lunara FAQ
What is the difference between Fariis's "Riwayah Lunara" and "Riwayah Amalfi"?
These are the two sides of the same collection: Amalfi evokes the day and the sea, with its aquatic, citrusy top notes, while Lunara evokes the night, with its spices, resins, and woody amber. Amalfi is the choice for sunny days and freshness; Riwayah Lunara is the choice for evenings and the colder months. Both share the same extract concentration and the same iconic bottle, each in its own color.
How long does Riwayah Lunara last on the skin?
As a perfume extract, Riwayah Lunara ranks among the longest-lasting fragrances: its woody amber base note lasts through an entire evening and remains detectable on the skin when you wake up. On clothing, expect it to last several days, as resins and amber are among the most persistent ingredients in perfumery.
Is Fariis's Riwayah Lunara suitable for both women and men?
Yes, it’s a bold blend. Resinous amber notes are among the most naturally gender-neutral elements in oriental perfumery: their spicy warmth appeals to both men and women alike. Riwayah Lunara takes on the personality of the skin it adorns, making it a beautiful fragrance for couples as well.
What is the best season to wear Riwayah Lunara?
In the fall and winter, without a doubt: the cold brings out the full depth of its resinous and amber notes, which become rounder without becoming overpowering. Riwayah Lunara also pairs beautifully with cool mid-season evenings; in the summer, however, its sibling Amalfi is the better choice.
