Hypnos Plum
A floral, fruity, gourmand perfume extract for men and women · plum, dates, osmanthus, saffron, sandalwood, leather, iris, and vanilla
The fruit of sleep: a black plum and soft dates swinging like a pendulum over an orchard of eight notes, until the scent settles into leather, amber, iris, and vanilla. Eighteen notes, and the name of a Greek god to set the tone.
Hypnos Plum by French Avenue: a floral, fruity, and indulgent fragrance, in short
A 2026 release from the Extradose line by French Avenue—a brand with a Parisian name and a barcode registered in the United Arab Emirates—Prune Hypnos is a unisex floral-fruity-gourmand perfume extract, listed under barcode 6298042002746. Its eighteen-note fragrance profile opens with grapefruit, cardamom, and ginger, unfolding into a heart of osmanthus, cinnamon, magnolia, saffron, jasmine, orange, plum, and dates, before settling on sandalwood, concrete, vanilla, leather, amber, iris, and musk. A fruity gourmand fragrance with an oriental structure, presented in a plum-red hammered bottle with a gold band. Available in authentic form at Parfumerie de Dubai.
The Fruit of Sleep
In Greek mythology, Hypnos is the god who bestows sleep; French Avenue hands him a plum. But the session begins with eyes wide open: a grapefruit sparkling, a cardamom camphor and a ginger Electric—three awakening notes that capture your attention like a magnetizer’s watch. Follow the pendulum.
Then the eyelids fall into the largest heart in the beam—eight notes: one plum black and fleshy, some dates soft cookies with natural caramel, one orange preserved, and around them a blossoming orchard, osmanthus apricot-flavored, magnolia lemony, jasmine sensual, all spiced up with cinnamon warm and a saffron golden. This is the stage of deep hypnosis: the fruit speaks to you, and you can no longer resist.
Sleep settles in on seven background notes: a sandalwood creamy, a concrete flower arranger, a vanilla deep, a leather flexible, a amber enveloping, a iris soft as a pillow and a musk clean sheets. Even when the extract is concentrated, that bed doesn't get messed up overnight.
Among the French Avenue new arrivals in the store, Prune Hypnos provides the perfect contrast to Noble Cedar : White evokes the aldehyde-scented awakening of the morning; plum evokes the hypnotic allure of the evening. Day and night from the same house.

Bottle design
The bottle is a glass plum: a body deep burgundy red, almost black at the shoulder, the upper part of which is faceted like the uneven skin of the fruit, encircled by a knurled gold ring Stamped “FRENCH AVENUE,” beneath a gilded crown-shaped cap with a fluted disc.
The case captures the night in black embossed Featuring a gold band, the words “PRUNE HYPNOS,” and the logo in fine gold lettering. The overall design resembles a case for a precious liqueur: the fruit’s hue, the gold of sleep.
How to Wear It
A rich, fruity flavor in concentrated extract form is used in the same way as a liqueur: one to two sprays, the warm or cool spots on the neck, and let the hypnosis take effect in waves—citrus first, then the orchard, and finally the leather-and-iris base. The generosity of the fruity heart makes the restraint elegant: it’s better to draw someone in than to be left behind.
His calling is evening and the cool season : dinners, parties, winter evenings where candied fruits and saffron truly shine. A true blend for sharing, it offers its plum notes to some, its saffron-tinged leather to others, and its extract-like trail to everyone. As for the jewel-like bottle, it never sits idle on the shelf.
French Avenue Hypnos Plum FAQ
What does "Prune Hypnos" mean?
Hypnos is the Greek god of sleep, the twin brother of Night, the one who bestows rest upon mortals; to associate him with a plum is to promise a fruit so sensuous that it lulls all resistance to sleep. The fragrance keeps its word: three notes of awakening, eight notes of fruity hypnosis, seven notes of deep sleep. A complete experience, from the pendulum to the iris-scented pillow.
What is osmanthus?
The favorite flower of perfumers who love fruit without actually using it: this small Chinese tree with golden flowers naturally smells of ripe apricot, tea, and suede—three scents in a single flower. In Prune Hypnos, it forms the perfect bridge between the orchard-like heart and the leathery base: its apricot note extends the plum, while its suede facet already hints at sleep.
What does "concrète" mean in the background notes?
A workshop term, for once presented in pyramid form: “concrète” is the waxy, dense paste obtained from the first extraction of flowers, before the absolute is extracted. It smells like the whole flower—petals, wax, and honey included—with an almost edible richness. To mention it here is to promise a rich, enveloping floral base note, faithful to the raw material rather than to the idealized flower.
What role do dates play in perfumery?
Nature’s own caramel: ripe dates develop notes of honey, black fruit jam, and brown sugar—without the heaviness of artificial caramels. It’s the Gulf’s iconic sweet treat, served with coffee as a gesture of hospitality, and its pairing with the plum is a rare, natural fit: two soft, dark fruits that complement each other—one European, the other Eastern. The heart of Prune Hypnos is their honeymoon.
Is Prune Hypnos just for women?
No, and its composition proves it: beneath the fruity notes lie leather, sandalwood, saffron, and amber—the hallmarks of great, characterful oriental fragrances. Gourmand fruity fragrances are labeled as feminine out of marketing convention, not by nature; when worn on a man’s skin, Prune Hypnos transforms into a beautifully rich, candied leather scent. The brand markets it as unisex, and rightly so.
What does the "Extradose" label on the bottle mean?
That’s the name French Avenue has given to this line of creations, and it speaks for itself: compositions rich in ingredients, presented in extract form, designed for those who appreciate a strong presence and long-lasting scent. Prune Hypnos follows this formula to the letter: eighteen notes, a heart of eight flowers and fruits, and a base of seven ingredients. Generosity is the guiding principle.
