Miss Gris
Floral-oriental eau de parfum for women · hazelnut, saffron, jasmine, rose, sandalwood, incense, and vanilla
The mystery in a powdery bottle: a hint of saffron atop a jasmine-rose bouquet, resting on sandalwood, incense, and vanilla. As the house itself says: a fragrance that doesn’t announce itself—it lingers like a secret.
Miss Gris by Assaf: A Detailed Breakdown of This Oriental Floral Fragrance
Created by Assaf, the Saudi niche fragrance house ranked first in its country on the Beautyworld rankings, Miss Gris is a 100 ml oriental floral eau de parfum for women from the Lady Collection, listed under barcode 6287042405374. Its fragrance profile opens with hazelnut, saffron, and pear; blossoms into jasmine and rose; and settles on sandalwood, incense, and vanilla. The brand describes it as a fragrance of mystery and quiet confidence, with strong staying power and a soft sillage that stays close to the skin, perfect for evenings as well as cozy days. Available as an authentic product at Parfumerie de Dubai.
The Secret That Lingers
Assaf describes his creation as a fragrance that doesn’t announce itself but lingers in the room like a secret. The opening sets the tone for this understated elegance: a hazelnut warm and slightly toasty, a rare note in women's perfumery, that a saffron gold-colored leather and that a pear A juicy fruit éclair. The result is enveloping from the very first second: cozy and sweet, in the brand’s own words, like a scent you come across but can’t quite put a name to.
The heart returns to the classics with a duet jasmine and rose : the radiant white flower and the queen of flowers, rendered without sentimentality. This is the most feminine moment of the composition, the one that ties Miss Gris to the great tradition of floral orientals, bridging the indulgent top notes and the smoky base notes.
Because this magazine dares to do what few women's magazines dare to do: the’incense, with its almost sacred, resinous smoke, softened by a sandalwood creamy and a vanilla Warm. The house has made this the fragrance’s true signature: a subtle smokiness, a creamy warmth, and a vanilla-like sweetness that linger on the skin for hours, leaving a delicate trail rather than making a bold statement. The mystery of gray, in short: neither dramatic black nor innocent pink, but the magnetic in-between.
In the Lady Collection, it forms a seasonal duo with Miss Sakura : cherry blossom on spring mornings, incense-scented hazelnut on winter evenings. Same house, same understated elegance, two contrasting moments in a woman’s day: the Assaf fragrance collection is complete with two bottles.

Bottle design
The bottle playfully defies its name: no gray, but a powder pink matte and subdued, like blush or an old-fashioned couture pink. The column is adorned with a gold collar slender silhouette and a wide, ivory-colored hood with faceted edges, featuring the same vertical design as the rest of the Lady Collection.
“MISS GRIS” is displayed in spaced-out gold capital letters above the words “LADY COLLECTION” and “ASSAF”—a typography more reminiscent of a fashion house than an oriental perfume brand. The bottle captures the essence of the fragrance: softness on the outside, character on the inside.

Performance & sensations
True to her character, Miss Gris exudes a subtle presence rather than making a show of herself. The house is described as a sturdy outfit, carried by the sandalwood-incense-vanilla trio—three first-rate fixatives—and a a gentle scent that lingers close to the skin : a delicate trail that those around you can sense without being overwhelmed by it. The hazelnut note in the opening is the most expressive moment, followed by a cashmere-like base note that lingers throughout the day.
His kingdom is the evenings and the cold season : fall dinners, winter coats, occasions where you want to make an impression without being overbearing. Two sprays are enough, preferably on pulse points—the nape of the neck and the wrists. On a cool day, a single spray transforms it into a “sweater scent” that’s perfectly appropriate for the office: the subtle version of the same mystery.
Assaf's Miss Gris FAQ
What's the difference between Miss Gris and Miss Gris Intense?
Concentration: Assaf offers the same signature scent in two intensities, presenting “Intense” as a richer, more dense version designed for marathon runs. This description covers the original: the same saffron-tinged hazelnut, the same jasmine-rose bouquet, and the same sandalwood-incense-vanilla base, presented with a lighter touch and a scent that stays closer to the skin. If you’re unsure: choose the original for everyday wear and the office, and the Intense for special winter evenings.
Why the name "Miss Gris"?
Here, gray is a moral color rather than a shade: the color of mystery and restraint. Assaf describes his Miss Gris as the woman who doesn’t follow trends, who prefers eloquent silence to grand statements, whose fragrance lingers like a secret. Neither the theatrical black of evening oriental fragrances nor the innocent pink of spring florals: it lies in the middle ground—exactly where the fragrance pyramid stands, between the richness of hazelnut and the smokiness of incense.
What role does hazelnut play in perfumery?
A dry, refined treat, very different from the usual sweets: the hazelnut evokes notes of toast, butter, and artisanal praline, with a slightly woody undertone that makes it more sophisticated than caramel. Long reserved for male connoisseurs, it makes a striking appearance here as a feminine top note, warmed by saffron: it is this note that gives Miss Gris its cashmere-like quality—comfortable and luxurious at the same time.
Can you wear Miss Gris during the day?
Yes, as long as you use it sparingly. Its natural setting is still the evening, when the incense and vanilla come into their own, but the brand itself considers it subtle enough to accompany a cozy day. The right daytime formula: a single spritz—on your clothes or at the nape of your neck—that transforms the evening fragrance into the subtle scent of a cashmere sweater. Save the double dose and the pulse points for dinners and the colder months.
Is Miss Gris a gourmand fragrance?
Half and half—and that’s its strength. The hazelnut-pear opening openly flirts with indulgence, and the vanilla in the base note sustains the sweetness; but the saffron, incense, and sandalwood constantly pull the scent toward a refined oriental, far removed from pastries. The result is something to savor rather than bite into: a mature, velvety, and smoky indulgence that appeals to those with a sweet tooth without ever feeling like a dessert.
