Hawas for Her
Floral-fruity eau de parfum for women · pomegranate, apple, grapefruit, iris, sambac jasmine, praline, patchouli, and vetiver · created by Dominique Ropion and Claire Liégent

The Matriarch: The fruity chypre fragrance that founded the Hawas women’s line
Before Rouge, before Pink, before Diva: there was Hawas for Her, launched in 2015, and its pedigree says it all: the fragrance is by Dominique Ropion, one of the greatest living perfumers, creator of some of the legendary contemporary women's fragrances, including Claire Liégent. The opening is a burst of distinctive fruits: a grenade tangy with ruby-red berries, a apple crunchy and a grapefruit sparkling, effervescent, juicy, and instantly appealing.
The heart note then imbues the fragrance with a floral elegance that is very Ropion: a iris aristocratic and refined, a jasmine sambac fleshy, Arabian jasmine, and a hint of’citrus that lingers. It is this iris-jasmine accord that sets Hawas for Her apart from ordinary fruity fragrances: beneath the sparkling top notes lies a truly sophisticated floral composition.
Finally, the background reveals the work of a connoisseur: a praliné a gourmet spot at a glance, run by a patchouli earthy and a vetiver Refined, with the character of modern, full-bodied fruity chypre fragrances—just the right amount of sweetness, never cloying. With 7 hours of clothing and a strong wake, this classic continues to garner praise ten years after its launch: dynasties don't just happen by chance.
For he did indeed found a dynasty: the Hawas female line now numbers Hawas Rouge For Her, the radiant, fruity-floral scent of the evenings, and Hawas Pink For Her, the 2025 Golden Marshmallow. You'll also find other creations by Dominique Ropion : When a winemaker of that caliber signs off on a wine at this price, it's a must-have for collectors.

Performance & sensations
Ten years of success have yielded solid results: its record shows lasts about 7 hours and a strong wake, carried by the praline-patchouli-vetiver trio—some of the most reliable fixatives in perfumery. The fruity fireworks sparkle during the first hour and draw compliments, the iris-jasmine blend takes center stage during the day with its powdery elegance, then the chypre praline settles in—sweet, earthy, and sophisticated—lasting into the evening and lingering on scarves long afterward.
It’s a true all-season fragrance, perfect for both day and night: the fruit sparkles on sunny days, while the praline base offers comfort on cooler days. Just two or three sprays are enough to create its generous sillage, and its chic yet accessible character makes it one of the most versatile women’s fragrances in the Rasasi catalog: from the office to dinner without needing a touch-up.
Rasasi's Hawas for Her FAQ
What does Rasasi's Hawas for Her perfume smell like?
Hawas for Her exudes a sophisticated fruity chypre scent: a sparkling top note of pomegranate, apple, and grapefruit; a powdery heart of iris and sambac jasmine; and a base note of indulgent praline anchored by patchouli and vetiver. The result: fruity, sweet, and woody all at once—the chic balance between indulgence and elegance that has made it a global success.
Who created the Hawas for Her perfume?
Hawas for Her is by Dominique Ropion, considered one of the greatest living perfumers and the creator of several iconic women's fragrances, alongside Claire Liégent. Finding a signature like this in an eau de parfum at this price is exceptional: it’s one of the reasons why this 2015 classic still holds its own, ten years later, against much more expensive fragrances.
Is Hawas for Her the women's version of Hawas for men?
This is its female counterpart, launched the same year, but the two tell very different stories: while the men’s Hawas has achieved cult status for its aquatic freshness, the For Her version features an elegant chypre-fruity scent with notes of pomegranate, iris, and praline. Same name, same high standards, two distinct personalities: you don’t have to love one to adore the other.
How long does the Hawas for Her fragrance last?
Its profile lists approximately 7 hours of longevity and a strong sillage: the hallmark of the Hawas line, enhanced here by a particularly persistent base note of praline, patchouli, and vetiver. On clothing and scarves, its sweet, woody trail lingers well into the next day—a performance that explains its reputation as a sure bet since 2015.
Which Hawas for women should you choose: the original, Red, or Pink?
Three generations, three personalities: the original Hawas for Her is Ropion’s sure bet—a chic, fruity chypre for everyday wear; Rouge For Her is the dazzling choice for evenings, with sparkling pear and a rosé accord on a vanilla base; Pink For Her is the indulgent fragrance of 2025, featuring spicy neroli and golden marshmallow melting into vanilla-scented cotton candy. Start with the original: it’s the one that inspired all the others.
