The Party in a Tuxedo
A summer crush is that intense, spontaneous love at first sight you experience on vacation—and the opening takes it at face value. A mango ripe and juicy, a pineapple dazzling, a coconut already present right from the start, a bergamot which adds a touch of flair—and the bartender’s stroke of genius: a white rum whose alcoholic warmth transforms the fruit basket into a veritable cocktail. The lounge chair is set up from the very first second, and it’s done with complete confidence.
The heart serves the second round: a coconut milk creamy, which doubles as a rich, velvety version of the coconut, some white flowers as welcome necklaces, and some marine notes that slip hints of iodine and sea foam beneath the sweetness. It’s the breeze that saves the cocktail from being cloying: the ocean air circulates among the fruits, and the beach breathes.
The driver takes them back to the hotel after dark: musk clean, sandalwood creamy, amber warm and vetiver With a hint of smokiness, this sophisticated quartet brings this tropical celebration to an elegant close. Twelve notes in all: summer in its entirety, from the first dip in the water to the last bonfire on the beach.
At Volaré, the Dubai-based brand known for its bottle-as-artwork designs, Summer Crush joins a lovely seasonal collection: the precious rain of Rain Treasure and a nap under the palm trees of Palm Chill. Three ways to paint the tropics, all from the same Emirati studio.

How to Wear It
Summer Crush lives up to its name as a specialist fragrance: it’s the scent of vacations and sunny days, swimming pools, beaches, festivals, outdoor cafes, and summer evenings—anywhere where a cheerful scent is a universal language. In eau de parfum concentration, two sprays set the tone for the day; the sandalwood-amber base naturally takes over at dusk and gives the fragrance its elegant late-night finish.
A true seaside blend, it’s shared equally by all: the fruit and coconut milk appeal to all skin types, while the vetiver and amber give each one a sense of grounding. Out of season, keep it in sun machine : A spritz one January morning, and summer returns for a day. That's also what vacation fragrances are for.
Volare's Summer Crush FAQ
Who is Volaré?
A perfume house based in Dubai, where every case proudly bears the words “Made in Dubai, UAE”: its creations are conceived and crafted in the heart of the world capital of oriental perfume. Its style is instantly recognizable: black-and-gold evening-wear-inspired cases, the golden dove as its emblem, and bottles that are like works of art, with the front showcasing the fragrance like a poster. “Summer Crush” is the perfect example.
What role does white rum play in perfumery?
The bartender’s note: an alcoholic, slightly sweet, and sunny note that warms the fruit the way a splash of rum livens up a punch. Unlike the whiskey or cognac found in winter fragrances, white rum remains clear and fresh: it captures the spirit of a cocktail without the heavy, syrupy texture. In Summer Crush, it’s the ingredient that transforms the mango-pineapple-coconut medley into a true frosted glass served by the pool.
Is Summer Crush an unapologetically tropical cocktail fragrance?
Absolutely, and that’s its strength: while many summer fragrances only hint at the tropics, this one serves up the whole glass—mango, pineapple, double coconut, and white rum. But the composition avoids the trap of being too syrupy: marine notes lighten up the heart, bergamot cuts through, and the woody-amber base rounds out the end of the day. The result is festive without being nostalgic: a cocktail mixed by a bartender who knows his classics.
"Made in Dubai": What Difference Does It Make?
Dubai has become one of the world’s perfume capitals: the houses that produce perfumes there draw on a rigorous tradition of Eastern craftsmanship, use generous concentrations, and have an eye for spectacular bottle designs. For a boutique like ours, this also guarantees short supply chains: Volaré creations arrive directly from their city of origin—the one that gives Parfumerie de Dubai its name. The packaging displays it, and the Emirati barcode confirms it.
When should you choose Summer Crush?
All the moments that bring a smile: heading off on vacation, days at the pool, barbecues, festivals, cruises, and honeymoons in the sun. It’s also a great scent to pack in your suitcase—one you’ll forever associate with a special summer—and a joyful gift that everyone will love thanks to its unisex appeal. At the office, save it for summer Fridays and use just one spritz: the beach chair vibe is all about subtlety.
