Copacabana Intense
Eau de Parfum · mandarin, pineapple, rose, jasmine, vetiver, sandalwood, and amber
The world’s most famous beach, dressed up for a night out: sun-kissed citrus notes of pineapple, a rose-jasmine bouquet from a prestigious house, and an oriental base note that lingers late into the night. Rio, after sunset.
Copacabana Intense by Assaf: The Summer Scent Captured in a Postcard
From Assaf, the Saudi niche fragrance house ranked number one in its country on the Beautyworld rankings, Copacabana Intense is a 100-ml eau de parfum from the In Summer line, listed under barcode 6287042403103 and inspired, according to the brand, by Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, a symbol of Brazilian life, style, and elegance. Its fragrance profile opens with mandarin, cedar leaves, pineapple, and bergamot; blooms with rose, jasmine, and ylang-ylang; and settles on vetiver, patchouli, sandalwood, musk, and amber. Available as an authentic product at Parfumerie de Dubai.
Rio, after sunset
The house draws inspiration from Copacabana, Rio’s world-famous beach—its elegance, its vitality, and its influence on Brazilian culture as a whole. The open layout captures its light: a mandarin vibrant and tangy, a bergamot dazzling, some cedar leaves greens that add depth to the painting, and the detail that defines the scene: a pineapple Juicy, the quintessential sun-kissed fruit, served in a delicate serving rather than as a cocktail.
The heart leaves the sand behind for the heights: a bouquet that the brand describes as luxurious, where the rose and the jasmine perform their high-end duet, accompanied by a ylang-ylang creamy, evoking warmth and tenderness. It’s the moment when fragrance takes center stage: the evening gown slipped over a swimsuit, that Carioca elegance that transitions from the beach to the night without changing a step.
The background keeps the party going: vetiver and patchouli as for the depth, which the company describes as mysterious, sandalwood warm, musk gentle and amber Enveloping, a seductive finish designed to linger. Twelve notes in three acts: a day at the beach, dusk, and a dancing night. It’s summer in its entirety, from the first swim to the last drink.
In Assaf's "In Summer" line, it is paired with Swimming in the Intense Summer Heat : the first one evokes a chypre-scented swim with leather undertones, while this one evokes a Brazilian beach with amber undertones. And for the sweet tooths in the family, Risk Comet rounds out the trio of sunny days with its pear-coconut Milky Way. Three summers, three latitudes.

Bottle design
The glass column takes on the color of the open sea: a azure blue crystal-clear—the Atlantic as seen from the boardwalk, bordered by a gold collar which catches the light like the sun on water. The cubic, off-white hood—simple and architectural—frames the entire design.
COPACABANA is displayed vertically in white capital letters, with INTENSE and IN SUMMER in subtle text, and ASSAF as the signature. In contrast to the deep, gradient hues of its sister fragrance, this one embraces the blue of the open sea and the gold of the sun: two hours of the same day at the beach, told through two bottles.

How to Wear It
Here's a tip straight from the brand itself: for a longer-lasting and more intense scent, spray directly onto the hot spots on the skin, the neck and wrists—where body heat diffuses the fragrance throughout the day. Two sprays in the morning set the tone for a day at the beach; a touch-up at dusk revives the scent for the evening.
Its amber base sets it apart from disposable summer scents: while most beach fragrances fade at sunset, Copacabana Intense is designed to linger, making it an excellent choice for four-star vacations, dinners on the terrace, and nights that stretch on. And if your summer spills over into September, it will keep going strong: amber also thrives on cool evenings.
Assaf's Copacabana Intense FAQ
Why is this perfume called Copacabana?
The brand explicitly pays homage to Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro’s legendary beach—one of the most famous in the world—a symbol of life, entertainment, and style, whose influence permeates Brazilian fashion and beauty. The fragrance captures the full experience: the sun-kissed radiance of citrus and pineapple for the beach, the elegance of a rose-jasmine bouquet for an evening stroll, and the sensuality of amber for a night out in Rio.
What's the difference between Copacabana Intense and Swimming In Summer Intense?
Two summers from the same “In Summer” line, two distinct characters. “Swimming In Summer Intense” offers a chypre-inspired swim: peppery citrus notes over oak moss and leather—a mineral, sophisticated summer. Copacabana Intense opts for a tropical party: pineapple and mandarin over a white floral bouquet and an amber base—a sunny, sensual summer. The first is for lovers of structured freshness; the second is for those who want the beach to feel like a night out.
What role does pineapple play in perfumery?
The chicest of exotic fruits—provided it’s used in just the right amount. Pineapple brings a sparkling juiciness—half-sweet, half-tart—that instantly evokes sunshine without veering into syrupiness, and the decade’s biggest men’s fragrances owe their brilliance to it. In Copacabana Intense, the brand describes it as a subtle presence: a distinctive fruity note that brightens the citrus, not a pina colada. It is this restraint that gives the composition its elegance.
Is Copacabana Intense for women or for men?
Its fragrance profile speaks both languages: the rose-jasmine-ylang-ylang bouquet leans toward the classic women’s fragrance, but the vetiver-patchouli-cedar base and the pineapple note are just as much a part of classic men’s fragrances. On the skin, it all depends on which note your body chemistry brings to the forefront: the florals or the woods. Our advice: think of it as a shared beach fragrance, much like its “In Summer” line, and let your first test run decide.
How do I apply Copacabana Intense so it lasts longer?
The brand provides its official instructions: spray directly onto the warmest areas of the skin—the neck and wrists—where body heat continuously diffuses the fragrance’s rich notes. Add a few tips from perfume enthusiasts: moisturized skin holds the fragrance better than dry skin, and spraying it on the collar or a light fabric prolongs the scent trail without overwhelming it. For the Eau de Parfum concentration, two to three sprays are enough.
