Hawas Nautilus
Woody marine eau de parfum for men · ambergris, seawater, cedar, cypress, driftwood, and sand
The Hawas fleet’s dive: a mineral foam of ambergris and seawater, a coastal forest of cedar and cypress, and that shore of driftwood and warm sand where it all ends. Six notes, the entire ocean.
Twenty Thousand Leagues Above the Seas: The Hawas Fleet’s Mineral Dive
New for summer 2026, Hawas Nautilus is the most radically marine creation from the Rasasi dynasty: while its counterparts feature fruit and spice notes, this one retains only the ocean and its shores, in six finely crafted notes. The opening is like a breath of fresh sea air: the’ambergris Air, this mineral treasure of the oceans, mingles with the’sea water vibrant and salty, with a clean, fresh foam that the restaurant describes as the air of a yacht at sunrise.
The Heart Docks: A cedar aromatic and a cypress Conifers stand tall in the wind-swept coastal forest—that green verticality that gives the fragrance its masculine structure, elegant yet not stiff. Then comes the beach after the wave: a backdrop of driftwood, smoothed by salt and the passage of time, and sand warm, an earthy, sun-drenched trail that the house heralds calm and sophisticated, the shore at the end of the day.
Designed by Rasasi For hot, humid climates and effortless everyday wear, Nautilus is the Hawas of the sea purists: no sugar, no fruit—just pure, mineral freshness. It joins the fleet alongside Hawas Tropical, the solar stopover, and Hawas Thunder, the electrical storm; and for Madame, the dynasty steps up with Hawas for Her, the original women's fragrance by Dominique Ropion.

The bottle is a column of water: a spectacular gradient that plunges from the deep blue from the shoulder to the turquoise lagoon then to the’sea-green foam from the base, like a vertical cross-section of the ocean, from the open sea to the shore. The name NAUTILUS is inscribed there in the Arabic calligraphic style known as Hawas.

Performance & sensations
Rasasi designed Nautilus, in his own words, For hot, humid climates and effortless everyday wear : This is the profile of a fragrance that stays crisp as the temperature rises, even when sweeter compositions tend to feel heavy. The mineral foam opens with a burst of brightness; the coastal forest provides structure to the heart of the day; and finally, the driftwood-and-sand shoreline leaves its lingering trail calm and sophisticated, described as warm and sunny without ever being cloying.
It’s the perfect companion for summer offices, white shirts, and evenings on a terrace overlooking the water: three sprays in the morning, a touch-up before evening if the day runs long. And for fans of layering, its distinctive mineral character makes for an ideal base under a citrus or a more classic aromatic fragrance: the sea carries it all.
Rasasi Hawas Nautilus FAQ
What does Rasasi's Hawas Nautilus perfume smell like?
Hawas Nautilus evokes the ocean in its purest form: a salty, airy opening where mineral ambergris blends with crisp seawater, a woody heart of cedar and cypress like a wind-swept coastal forest, followed by a base of driftwood and warm sand. The result: fresh, clean, and sophisticated—the sea and its shore without a hint of sweetness.
What does the name "Nautilus" mean?
The nautilus is that marine shell with its perfect spiral, a marvel of natural geometry from the depths, and its name has become legendary thanks to the submarine in the adventure novel that explored twenty thousand leagues under the sea. Two symbols perfectly suited to this Hawas: nature’s mineral perfection and the call of the deep.
What does ambergris smell like in perfumery?
Ambergris is the ocean’s most legendary treasure: a rare substance once gathered from the shores, polished by years of sea and sun, and now recreated by modern perfumery. Its scent is unique—salty and mineral, with subtle notes of amber and sun-kissed skin—the very essence of the open sea. In Nautilus, it opens the fragrance like a breath of authentic sea air.
Is Hawas Nautilus a new product?
Yes, and it’s the freshest yet: Nautilus is the Hawas fleet’s summer 2026 launch, billed as one of the season’s most anticipated releases. Rasasi designed it for hot, humid climates and effortless everyday wear—in other words, the timing is perfect to start wearing it right now.
Which Hawas for men should I choose?
Every brother has his moment: the original from 2015 remains the heroic fruity aquatic, Tropical the exuberant sunny escape, Thunder is the electric storm of daring evenings, and Nautilus, the newcomer, is the pure mineral dive—the most refined and sophisticated in the lineup. For your first Hawas of the summer, whether at the office or the beach, Nautilus is now the purists’ choice.
