Sunset Sangria
The opening scene is a spice market at twilight: a blood orange purple and juicy, accompanied by mandarinof bergamot and lemon, surge in cinnamonat gingerat pink pepper and clove, with green notes in the foliage. Nine notes in the top notes alone: evening citrus fruits tossed into a pot of spices, just as one prepares mulled wine before nightfall.
The heart pours out wine: a grapes sun-drenched and with a hint of red wine tannic and velvety, in which the grapes macerate raspberry, blackcurrant, fishing and apple, the full range of sangria scents. A Turkish rose The opulent, large, fragrant rose of Anatolia lends its petal to the fruit, and the cardamom infuses the glass with its camphor-like freshness. It’s the moment that’s both the most indulgent and the most mature: ripe fruit, never candy.
The waitress serves dessert by the fireplace: brown sugar amber, double vanilla, in absolute terms and in pod, tonka bean plastered, then the framework, amber, musk, patchouli, sandalwood, benzoin coniferous, cedar dry and a hint of birch smoky, which keeps the sugar from settling. Eleven base notes: candy resting on a wooden bookshelf.
At Volaré, Sunset Berries raises a toast with Red Velvet Dream, the other glass of house red wine, and takes over from the white wine Summer Crush When the beach empties: at high noon, a taste of vacation; at sunset, the golden hour and evenings that stretch on and on.

Bottle design
The facade is a fruit stained-glass window : blood oranges, bunches of grapes, cherries, and foliage intertwine in colorful patterns like a rose window at sunset, surrounding the golden geometric stag from the collection. “Sunset Berries” is inscribed in gold English letters, with the Volaré dove below it.
Surrounding the painting is the brand’s signature design: a black rectangular bottle with ribbed sides, a cap draped like a turban, and a black case edged in gold bearing the inscription Made in Dubai, UAE. The tuxedo and the stained-glass window: night falling outside, the fruit blazing inside—just like in the juice.

How to Wear It
The name says it all: Sunset Berries is a fragrance by end of the day, the one you spray on as you leave the office to head to dinner, a long aperitif, or an impromptu evening out. Its warm spices and double vanilla make it perfect for’fall and winter, when the cool air brings out the sweet-toothed; its citrus fruits set the tone for the cool evenings throughout the rest of the year.
With eleven base notes, including amber, patchouli, and two types of vanilla, the composition promises a rich, full-bodied presence: start by two sprays and adjust it to suit the occasion. A true unisex blend, it shifts from the women’s to the men’s collection depending on the skin that wears it: berries and rose on one side, smoky birch and cedar on the other—each person infuses it with their own sunset.
Volare's Sunset Berries FAQ
What does "Sunset Berries" mean?
Berries at Sunset: The name captures the moment when the golden evening light meets the red fruits of the orchard, and the fragrance profile translates this literally—sun-kissed citrus notes at the top, wine-soaked berries at the heart, and the amber warmth of the night at the base. The bottle frames the scene like a stained-glass window: its facets of flamboyant fruits against a black background are exactly that—a sunset seen through a rose window.
What does the red wine note taste like in Sunset Berries?
A depth that fruit alone can never achieve: the red wine note brings a velvety, slightly syrupy tannic quality that transforms the basket of berries into a maceration—raspberry, blackcurrant, and peach steeped in grape juice, like an autumn sangria. Combined with the top notes of spices—cinnamon and clove leading the way—it also evokes mulled wine on chilly evenings. It is this note that elevates the fragrance from youthful fruitiness to a rich, mature scent.
Twenty-eight notes—how do you make sense of such a rich pyramid?
By facets rather than note by note: a fragrance pyramid is not a list of ingredients to be perceived one by one, but a map of the accords that the perfumer’s nose has blended together. Here, the nine top notes actually form two distinct themes: citrus and spices; the heart, a single theme: fruit in wine; the base, two themes: vanilla confectionery and woods. Twenty-eight notes, five facets: this is how it will truly be experienced on the skin.
Is Sunset Berries very sweet?
It’s frankly indulgent—brown sugar, double vanilla, and tonka bean all play their part—but the composition features multiple safeguards: the tannins of red wine, ginger, and cloves up front, along with patchouli, dry cedar, and—above all—a hint of smoked birch in the base prevent the sweetness from veering into pure candy territory. Expect a fine-dining dessert rather than cotton candy: sweet, yes, but structured and smoky in just the right measure.
When is the best time of year to wear Sunset Berries?
Fall and winter first: cinnamon, cloves, mulled wine, and vanilla are the very essence of the cold season, and the crisp air brings out the best in these flavors. But its citrus top notes prevent it from feeling as heavy as pure winter orientals: cool spring evenings and air-conditioned summer nights suit it just as well. The only time that isn’t right for it is the height of midday in August—and its name already gave that away.
